Positive: The location was simply perfect—right in front of the ocean. For its stunning setting, warm hospitality, and great value for money, I’d give Tranquil Nest Vaavu 11/10. True to its name, this place truly delivers tranquility at a budget-friendly price. The property sits right on the beach, with plenty of areas to swim and snorkel comfortably. At certain times of the day, you can even spot stingrays and other ocean creatures while swimming or just standing on shore. My room was spacious, complete with a veranda overlooking the blue waters. I even got to fly my drone during my stay, and the island itself had a quiet yet welcoming Maldivian community that made the experience even more special. At certain times of the day, you can even see some stingray and other ocean creatures while swimming or while on shore. Wi-Fi was available and generally stable within the premises, which was convenient for coworking. The signal was weaker once outside the restaurant area, but overall it worked fine. The property also offered several tours and activities that could be arranged in advance with the staff. One tip: don’t attempt to arrange transfers on your own. Another guest had to endure a 7-hour shared boat ride with multiple stops, while in my case the staff secured a direct speedboat transfer via ProJets Ferry Service, which was smooth and on time. What truly made my stay unforgettable, though, was the hospitality of the staff. Special thanks to Hattu, based in Malé, who made sure my transfer went seamlessly, and to Acho/Shifan, who was always ready to help with anything I needed. From providing a plug converter and extra batteries to even stepping in with his own drone when mine malfunctioned—he went above and beyond, capturing amazing aerial shots and videos of my Bodumohora beach tour and island stay that I’ll treasure.

Negative: I wouldn’t really call it a downside, but the lunch and dinner menu felt a bit limited and somewhat pricey. Hopefully, in the future, they can expand the selection and perhaps adjust the pricing to be a bit more guest-friendly. That said, the meals they do serve are very well prepared and enjoyable. On a few occasions, I tried another restaurant on the island for more variety, but overall, the food at the property was satisfying. As for the bed, it wasn’t the softest, but in my case, it was manageable and not too uncomfortable. Still, it might be worth considering an upgrade or adding a mattress topper for extra comfort.

Positive: The best place we stayed at in the Maldives. The whole atmosphere at Tranquil Nest Vaavu is super chill, exactly what we were looking for. Everyone on the staff was always very helpful and friendly. The entire island and its beaches are clean and beautiful. Every day, we saw many different animals swimming near the beach or in the nearby lagoon. We also enjoyed the food and went on several trips organized directly by the accommodation.

Positive: Amazing location, the hotel could use a little bit of a maintenance but considering the humidity, it’s quite normal. We loved it regardless of small inconveniences but the view from the room made up for it.

Negative: The smell from the bathroom in certain time of the day. But as I said, nothing that wouldn’t make me book again.

Positive: It was ok. It may be better to do a buffet style breakfast. I don't know if that's possible.

Negative: I loved the outdoor music and would have lived a few more group games. Volleyball option or games night. Maybe yoga or meditation on the beach.

Positive: Clear water, sunrise view. Some shades for lounge chairs. The island is very quiet

Negative: No other food options other than eating at the hotel with limited menu choices. No convenient store was open either. The water also smells funky, which is the worst part of our stay. No toiletry provided. Bed was hard and uncomfortable.

Positive: The 2 girls at the bar who were serving breakfast, lunch and diner. They were very nice. And diner was good but they don’t have all on the menu.

Negative: The bed was very hard, the shower water smells like rotting egs. The room was full off spiderwebs. You didn’t have a minibar and water we must pay to drink. The save had no batteries and was broken. The breakfast was every day the same and not very nice and cold served. When you take a shower for 1 minute the full bathroom was under water because there was no level change in the floor. Sometimes you don’t have place to sit so you eat your meal at the room. There was nothing to do on the island. Only good for people who don’t wanna do anything on vacation.
