Traditional stone built Windmill | House in Paros

The windmill, founded in the middle of the 19th century, is built up of huge stones forming its exterior wall of 120 cm thick, which embrace round-around its inner space of two floors and a four meters diameter.
It stands at the edge of the village of Lefkes in the island of Paros. The Windmill has worked for many years, grinding the wheat of the villagers, assuring them the precious good of bread during those difficult years, until the middle of 20th century, when it was mortally wounded by a thunder. After that, the windmill, which was giving life to all the peasants, ceased its work.
Today, 150 years after, we have renovated it in order to pay homage to that stony-ghost of the Aegean Sea, converting it to a monument of historical and cultural significance and retrospection; we try at the same time to pay a tribute as well to all those who worked and lived by its working wombs.
AT THE MAIN FLOOR OF THE WINDMILL THERE IS A SMALL KITCHEN WITH A REFRIGERATOR WITH ALL THE IMPLEMENTS THAT YOU CAN MAKE YOUR BREAKFAST. AT THE 1st FLOOR THERE IS A DOUBLE BED WITH A WC AND A WARDROBE.

IN THE LEFTHAND SIDE OF THE VERANDA THERE IS ALSO A PROPER BATHROOM WITH A WASHING MACHINE IN IT and ALL THE UTILITIES TO ENJOY A PROPER SHOWER.
