Summary: Merced is prone to crime, I found out after staying here. My vehicle had bikes mounted on a rack. It was parked in the handicap spot right outside the lobby entrance. When I came out in the morning the steel cables had been cut. Theft had been attempted, but luckily they were not able to get the bike off the rack. Front desk hotel said yes this happens. They said that security camera was not working so they had no footage, car was parked right in front of the camera. They asked us to file a police report. Police were unwilling to come to the hotel and wanted us to drive to the station instead. Overall we felt unsafe here after this incident.

Summary: There was a good selection of food for breakfast, but the service was a little disorganized. The staff did not notice the lack of cutlery utensils or an empty coffee thermos. The front desk person was a little passive in interaction with the client.

Summary: For a newer hotel they have not kept up the bathroom well. Dirty caulking around toilet and in shower. The shower had such amazing pressure, however the shower head was barely able to tolerate it and was not screwed on fully. It was spraying the ceiling and the hard water caused the spray to go all over. It was aimed at the door originally, so when I turned it on it spayed me. It also soaked the floor while I showered. Also the springs in the bed were poking me all night and had a huge dip in the middle. I won’t be staying here again.
