Summary: The owners of this property, Dusanka & Yves, head our list of the property's many plus points. From the moment that we arrived until the moment that we left they were friendly and exceptionally helpful with everything. Simply lovely people. The accommodation itself was much as advertised and entirely to our expectations. The pool is quiet, with a shady corner for those (like me) who prefer to stay out of the sun. During our stay temperatures in the shade reached 42C. At this temperature the house remained fairly cool and the pool was a lifesaver. We could park the car in deep shade, which was also a boon. To pass the time, there's a ping-pong table and other distractions. But during our stay it was so hot that opening the next bottle of wine induced sweat. The location is very rural, surrounded by farming land and little else. The nearest Boulangerie is 5km away, but an easy (e)bike ride. During the night, peace and quiet are to be found in surplus. During the day, farmers can be heard sweating at their toils. For us, the entire Burgundy landscape comes as something of a revelation - it is fantastically beautiful. Rolling hills, fields of sunflowers, large forests, scattered with the odd Auberge here and there. Highly recommended. Finally, for those of you who don't buy any review that doesn't offer criticism, the most significant downside was the flies. Due to the heat, I suppose, there was a surfeit of flies in the house that had us running around with the Zapper that we'd brought. Rather a futile exercise in the end, but yeah, if you choose to stay in the (deep) country, you can expect the country life.

Summary: We stayed with the 4 (friends) of us at this beautiful place! We really enjoyed the pool, good nights of sleep, the ping pong table, fresh vegetables from the garden and Dusanka was very kind giving us tips. All positive and definitely recommend by all of us!

Summary: This accommodation is owned and managed by a couple who understand the needs of their guests and they go out of their way to try to accommodate your needs. Having said that we had as little or as much contact with them as we needed. In our case we were seeking a quiet week away from 'tourist land' where we would be comfortable and undisturbed. This we achieved. The accommodation we stayed in while next to the house and joined to it by an arch (great for keeping the car cool and out of the sun) had it's own sheltered back garden and large covered eating area which is very private and not over looked or disrupted by noise from the main house. We had a great week away from tourists and tasted 27 different Chablis (all premier cru). Went out to lunch a lot. You must have more than one lunch in Chablis to really feel you are beginning to understand the area and it's people. If you are looking for what we were looking for you will have a great time. The only downside maybe the lack of air conditioning but if France had more air conditioning it would be overrun by more wimpy tourists.
