Summary: Central lodge is a short walk from cottages, which are spaced around campus. My cottage was good, but could have used a bit updating (compared to Powederhorn, in Ohakune). If you are hiking the Tongariro, it is very convenient to trailhead. Lodge dining facility was very good.

Summary: Great Lodge. Rustic and private. Close to the River. Fun decor. The stars were incredible. Nice outdoor seating. Friendly staff.

Summary: our chalet was comfortable and quite spacious. BUT the basin in the bathroom was cracked and the door difficult to open and close. We could not be moved to another room as fully booked but we were given a small discount.

Summary: We enjoyed the lodge, however, I would have liked a bed frame, not just the mattress on the floor, it was too low for me. They really need to invest in beds for their mattresses. But the room was clean and the bathroom was good size and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Summary: Amazing landscaping and peaceful surroundings, good practical layout in house with nice art and comfy couches. Loved everything, except we found the mattresses extremely uncomfortable - a shame otherwise would be perfect!

Summary: Beautiful property, quiet and secluded but close to town. The staff was superb and very professional. Our unit was dated, but clean and comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant was excellent! We would highly recommend the Lodge.
