Positive: The hotel is at the seafront which is the ideal location for anybody wanting to lounge on Tofta beach although it's a long walk from the main road (with luggage) if you don't have a car. The room was spacious with plenty of storage space. The breakfasts were good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The receptionist let me use the computer behind the reception to print out my boarding pass shortly before I departed the hotel. I liked the community room with books, TV and puzzles although it had a slightly institutionalised feel.

Negative: The appearance of the hotel is not impressive although the interiors are better than the exteriors. It's not great having to walk outside to go to breakfast or to the community room although I accept it is the make-up of the hotel and this won't change. The walkways can be slippery. The beds are small and not very comfortable. It would have been good to have had a bathtub and not just a shower. However, the restaurant was closed for much of my stay (except for breakfasts) and was only open for dinner on three out of seven nights of my stay. There was a set menu - no choice - and it is odd that the meal is either a starter and main course or a main course and dessert. During the summer, the restaurant should be open for evening meals (with choice) every night. When the restaurant was not open, I had to use alternative venues which were some distance away and / or expensive. Also, the paving slabs near the tree along the footpath up to the hotel reception building are loose and need to be cemented back into place. Otherwise somebody could slip and injure themselves.

Positive: It is hard to find a beach place but this simple hotel is situated in the sand dunes of Tofta. It is wonderful to walk out barefoot from the building to reach the beach. The staff was helpful and the breakfast simple but good. Big plus for their sunset terrace overlooking the sand dunes and the sea.

Negative: The property needs a full reservation, it fullfills its purpose but the interior is very oldschool.
