Positive: The location of the property is fabulous, breakfast was a large spread with attentive staff. Proximity to the beaches helps to visit them. Must commend the staff at The Mare restaurant who were particularly accommodating and helpful.

Negative: Some staff at the reception were rude, the fittings in the bathroom were not fixed properly and the curtains in the rooms had hole, they need to be changed considering the super high room rate. Courtesy tuk-tuk service to the beach cannot only be for 6 persons from the entire hotel and I was told it is on first come first served basis, up on requesting, it was provided to us.

Negative: The was no topless sunbathing which was not advised as policy on either the website or by pool. Tips were included in all orders by pool or bar this was excessive- sunbeds at the pool were uncomfortable and need upgrading. They need to be more flexible with restaurant availability, as it is not easy to have dinner without pre-booking, even if the restaurant is not full.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay, however sunbeds need improving it is a beautiful location

Positive: The view is amazing so it is worth getting the full sea view rooms. Rooms are nice with a big balcony. The best part is the amazing staff from reception to pool to the dining locations. Very well trained and efficient staff. The best service we had from all the 5* hotels we stayed in Algarve.

Negative: The dinner at the Mare Bistro was not too good. They need to improve the quality.

Summary: Great hotel and very friendly and efficient staff. Definitely recommended!
