Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: A truly wonderful place for a family stay! Comfortable, newly built, nice, clean and cozy. Every morning the parkway was cleaned of snow before we got out of beds. Wolfgang, our host, was very friendly and welcoming, provided ski adjustment tools, a pre-filled coffee machine and other things we asked for (including a hdmi cable). I wish more places were like Tischlerhof and hosts like Herr Trixl!

Negative: The only minor gripe can think of was a few kilometers’ distance to the ski areas we had to drive. Had it been summer and bikes rather than skis, we would have enjoyed extra distance ride from the mountain lifts to Tischlerhof. Not a drawback of the place per-se, just the location is better for some activities than the other.

Summary: A lovely place for a leisurely family vacation, especially if you arrive by car.

Positive: The apartment is brand new. Everything done smart, with style, top quality materials used. Dimmable lights - you can create any atmosphere you want. Sparkling clean. Excellent location for skiers: 10 minutes from the St. Johann town with restaurants, shops and ski rentals. 5 skiing resorts nearby: St. Johann, Kitzbuhel 20min, Winder Kaiser 30min and couple more, but I do not remember the names. There is a garage attached to the apartment where you can conveniently store your skis and boots. Some may consider the location a bit remote, but we loved it because there was no traffic/tourist noise, plenty of parking, large yard for kids to run around and play (also a very friendly dog of the owner). Covered balconies with stunning views of the mountains. Was a bit worried about being snowed-in, but the roads were being cleaned frequently, and there was no problems commuting. Clearly marked bins for sorting out rubbish. Very helpful owner: loaned a thermometer, replaced towels, helped with directions and advised about restaurants. Some of the apartments have doors between them so you can connect and accommodate a larger group. And finally - perfect pillows! Had a very good sleep :) Thank you! We will be back.

Negative: Dryers for ski boots would be nice to have. Sound isolation between apartments is a bit weak, but it's hardly a problem. Just spend more time outside and spill all your energy on the mountains. By the time you return, there would be no desire to party :)
