Summary: Beautiful surroundings, and the family of the property manager became family to us....from Mateo and Esperanza visiting us, sharing wine and wonderful tiramisu, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The kids really enjoyed Becky, the family's dog. The pool was a haven for the kids, and there were so many places to eat together outside! The foosball table and outdoor Ping-Pong table were also a hit. The fans came in handy as it was quite warm, and the villa is not air conditioned, just the guest house. Poggibonsi is walkable for small amounts of groceries and to get pizza instead of cooking. The only drawback were the mosquitoes--bring your bug spray (a bottle was graciously provided by Mateo the first day). We would definitely rent this villa in the future.

Summary: We were 10 women travelling for pleasure. Villa was perfect , host and the property manager and her family who live next door are incredible people . Information provided before arrival was fantastic- we pre- booked many activities that were great !

Summary: So, you may have heard that Poggibonsi isn't the most beautiful town in tuscany and I can't say it compares to San Giminagno. However... it is very convenient to many places. The location itself is wonderful surrounded by vineyards. A short drive up the road from the house provides the views of Tuscany that you dream about. It is difficult to picture the house from the description. So, the ground floor has a large entryway with another large living room on the right. It is great to sit in this room and have a drink, snacks, etc. At the end of the entry is the dining area and beyond that is the kitchen which is very well stocked. Upstairs on the right side of the hallway are 4 bedrooms with double beds. At the end of the hall, the room has a divider to separate it and the bathroom from the rest of the rooms which is the master bedroom. There are 2 other bathrooms upstairs. It is very comfortable for 8 people with 2 rooms sharing a bathroom. There are 2 other bedrooms with single beds on the left side as well, one with a door to a terrace. There is also an separate apartment just outside the kitchen with 2 double bedrooms and 2 baths. The house has a lot of character. That means it is not the most modern place you have ever stayed. It doesn't matter because it is so comfortable. Aida and her father Mateo were great at greeting us and taking care of any issues. They were a great help when a storm caused a electric outage. Luca was great at communicating.

Summary: We had a wonderful holiday with our extended family in this beautiful villa. The Villa was lovely and a beautiful space to be in. The gardens were wonderful for kids. We loved riding our bikes along the bike path that was just next to the villa. The hosts were wonderful and looked after us so well, assisting with groceries and even dropping over a home cooked tiramisu for Easter.

Summary: We were a group of 6 adults travelling together and this villa was perfect for our needs. Luca was a great host, quick to respond to communication and extremely helpful. He provided us with recommendations for a chef to come and cook dinner for us (fantastic) and a driver to get us around wherever we needed to go. Since we did not have a car, he arranged for groceries and, most importantly, wine to be waiting for us on arrival. Aida was our contact in the area while we were there. She was delightful and so helpful. Her parents live next door and are the caretakers for the property. They were so warm and friendly that we spent an evening with them by the pool, sharing food and drinks (one of our party speaks Italian). The property is lovely - we gathered outside every evening to watch the sunset. The pool was wonderfully refreshing after long days sightseeing. There is a poolside shower and bathroom, which was so convenient. There is an outdoor ping pong table and a fuseball table in the living area, so we had lots of fun with those. The Villa itself is filled with antiques, cozy seating areas, and fascinating nooks and crannies. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms are updated. There is plenty of space on the property for couples travelling together to have space and privacy. We are already talking about when we can go back again.

Summary: The house and furnishings are beautiful. If it wasn’t for the grandpa Mateo and his wife, our stay might have been terrible. The English speaking property manager, Aida, was not there to check us in. Mateo, who spoke no English, greeted us and showed us around. On the first day we reported a problem with sewer gas. Aida’s response was, I’m not there, contact the owner in Rome. The owner said it was the “mistral winds”, and would pass. Two days later after no change, a plumber was able to clear a clog they alleviated the smell in 2 of the 3 bathrooms. The 3rd bathroom became unusable because the smell persisted. 3 days later it rained hard for an hour. The result was flooding both upstairs and downstairs. Again Aida’s response was, I’m not there, I’ll forward to the owner. Mateo and his wife come to the rescue with mops and a gift of wine. A few days later it rained again, and the top floor leaked water through a door jamb. This time we just cleaned it ourselves. On our last afternoon the power went out during a storm. After a couple hours, we went next door and were able to communicate with Mateo, who came over and reset the breakers, which were hidden behind a painting. The house is beautiful and spacious, but clearly temperamental. The English speaking property manager was completely absent, and we felt terrible bothering the grandpa nearly every day for something. The grounds and view are beautiful. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes were brutal, which limited our ability to be outside in the afternoon or evening. There is a beautiful walking path near the house. On direction leads for miles into the hills. The other direction leads to town. While it’s true you can reach the edge of town in 15 minutes, it’s really 25-30 to reach the Coop supermarket. There were no restaurants or retail shops really within a 30 minute walk. In fact, we found nothing of interest in the city of Poggibonsi. We should have done better research, but Poggibonsi is a working factory town. It had no charm. We asked 3 different guides who took us on tours about restaurants or activities in our town. All of them had no advice, stating they have never heard of any tourists staying there, and had never picked anyone up there In summary, the house is beautiful, Mateo is a rock star, Property manager was absent, and Poggibonsi has no charm.

Summary: Lovely and quaint Tuscan villa. Many bedrooms and a large but cozy common area for gatherings. Nice location with a walking trail into the town. We used the villa as a launchpad for day trips around Tuscanny and found the location convenient. We also enjoyed the private chef recommended by Luca. Be aware of the additional gas charges. It's a very large villa and heating can be substantial cost.

Summary: Everyone involved in the process was wonderful. Communication from the owner was easy and the property managers were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the stay very much. We were eight adults and we all were able to have our own rooms and were quite comfortable. The outdoor spaces are wonderful for congregating and meals. The massive indoor living room can accommodate large groups together. I highly recommend this property for families and for large groups that want big community areas which accommodate the whole group while still having their own individual space. Summary: We spent two wonderful weeks with 12 people of our family in this beautiful house. The surroudings are quiet and peacefull. The views are breathtaking. The location is very convenient, 10 min walk from Poggibonsi city center and Colle di Val d'Elsa is at walking distance as well though a little bit further. It takes less than one hour with the car to reach the major Tuscan cities. The house and garden are maintained by the family next door who are very kind and helpful. The house is well equiped, good beds, nice swimming pool. Some equipments such as the dishwasher have done their time and might need to be replaced but this does not affect our general satisfaction and our wish to return to this place!!
