Positive: Ano Doliana is a beautiful traditional village in the mountains, surrounded by a forest of chestnut, fir and other trees. It was very green, even at the end of June. The location of Tholos is in the middle of the village, with a traditional taverna on the ground floor with a terrace across the street with views across the valley. The hosts are very kind and friendly and made us welcome, and the food in the restaurant is excellent and well priced. A good breakfast is also available from 8 am for € 10 per person. The room was comfortable and the bathroom had surfaces on which to put your toiletries. There is no refrigerator in the room, but if you have something that needs to stay cold, I'm sure you could ask the hosts to keep it in the restaurant's refrigerator. There is a small garden-terrace outside the room with many nice plants. What we particularly liked about the village is that it has retained its traditional charm and authenticity, i.e. many people still live here, and it is certainly not too developed for tourism, although there are places to stay and eat. If you want a tranquil time surrounded by nature, this is an excellent choice.

Negative: There was nothing we did not like!

Positive: Beautiful place with view over the mountains, good room, good food and very friendly owners (unfortunately they speak little English otherwise we would have liked to talk with them a bit more about the surrounding, history etc). Highly recommended!

Negative: The room we rentet was above the restaurant so can be noisy. We were in late season so there were only people one evening. After 24:00 it was completely quiet.

Positive: The village is quite nice. The room is decent.

Negative: There is a taverna just underneath, so unfortunately there is a lot of noise from people eating and talking just outside your window. And if you go to the mountain to relax, this is quite annoying.
