Summary: Beautiful Lodge, Beautiful Area, comfortable room, friendly and informative Front End Staff. Bring your bathing suit, the indoor/outdoor pool with 3 hot tubs was fantastic. Also enjoyed sitting by the fire and relaxing at night. A second trip back is justified. Thank You

Summary: My boys and I had a great weekend at Whiteface Lodge. It's conveniently located to the local sites. When not seeing all the great things Lake Placid has to offer, we felt right at home at the lodge. With the game room, movie theater, pool and roasting marshmallows over the campfire, we have terrific memories of our stay. Looking forward to coming back again.

Summary: Stayed here for two nights and left with… mixed feelings (and slightly damaged eardrums). Let’s start with the positives: the place is clean, well kept, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful – big plus. The gym was actually great (rare hotel win), and breakfast was very nice with a solid selection to start the day properly. Now to the more “memorable” parts. Our room came with a built-in industrial sound machine – not listed in the amenities, but impossible to miss. It was so loud we ended up sleeping with noise-cancelling earbuds, which was… not exactly the luxury experience we had in mind. The pool area looked inviting at first glance, but the soundtrack of high-pitched kid screams had us doing a full 180 at the door. Parents seemed relaxed – our ears were not. Dinner was the final twist. The steak arrived convincingly burned, paired with a béarnaise sauce that would likely cause a diplomatic incident in France. All in all: clean, friendly, good gym and breakfast – but between the noise and the dinner experience, we’ll land at a solid 3 out of 5.

Summary: A great place for kids to stay! There are lots of amenities for children, including a pool, bowling, a games room, and even an ice-skating rink. Breakfast each day was great, and it’s clear the staff put a lot of thought into making guests’ stays as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They provide extras like skates, snowshoes, hot chocolate, coffee stations, and water stations throughout the property, which was really appreciated. My kids absolutely loved it. The only improvement I would suggest is adding a child safety lock on the doors. While there is a deadbolt, it disengages when the door is opened, which means my young child could open the door and wander out. An additional upper latch or child lock would add some extra peace of mind for families with small children.

Summary: The suites were beautiful. Beautifully Adirondack. So much attention to detail. And there is so much to do right at the Lodge. 2 great restaurants. Pool and hot tubs were amazing. Spa on site. Game room, nice fitness room, movies, bowling alley and all kinds of activities. I can’t say enough about this place. I can’t wait to go back!
