Positive: The pub itself is really lovely and the landlady was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed having a few drinks in the pub in the evening and felt relaxed and at ease down in the bar. It really is a lovely building in a lovely little village. The room is pretty basic but this is reflected in the cost. It was clean however and we got a decent night's sleep and a cooked breakfast the next morning.

Negative: We hadn't realised it was a shared bathroom, which is entirely our fault but we do like our own facilities! So we probably wouldn't stay again for that reason but for the price we have no complaints.

Summary: No frills, low cost room.

Positive: Loved the old-fashioned character of the inn and its quiet setting - a welcome interruption of a lengthy motorway journey. The landlady was friendly and helpful, my double room spacious and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The shared bathroom was right next to my room, and with only 3 guest rooms in total, sharing it was not a problem.

Negative: With a bit of additional upkeep in some communal areas, this lovely inn could make even more of its period charm.

Summary: A good night's sleep in a very convenient location

Positive: Very beautiful old style pub. Lovely staff and great location.

Negative: There was no hot water in the bathroom and the electric shower didn’t run hot. I spoke to the owners who assured me they will look into the problem. (These things happen) The property is in needs some work, very tired.

Summary: For a short overnight stay it ok. Fits the budget it’s aimed at.

Negative: In an ideal world the Pub could have been open Monday but this is sadly becoming standard across the country due to lack of support for pubs

Positive: Booked almost last minute for a Sunday night. Adam messaged soon after booking with access instructions if we arrived after 5pm ,as the pub closed. He helpfully informed us that their kitchen closed at 3.30pm, so no food available,but suggested 'The Burj' Indian restaurant a couple of miles away.Which was fine. Unfortunately we were not able to dine there on Sunday evening,but there looked to be an extensive menu,including dog meals.Breakfast was good(Included) Village was nice and peaceful . Would like to return to sample their menu.

Negative: Initially concerned that there was a shared bathroom for 3 guestrooms,but we were the only guests. The only quibble was that there was no hot water from the shower, and low water pressure on the hand held shower.Apparently fairly new problem as water usually 'scalding' but aware of low water pressure.

Positive: We stayed as a group of four friends on our weekend trip to the Cotswolds. The room had everything we needed, and we enjoyed a lovely pub meal and live music the evening we stayed. Breakfast was very nice, staff were friendly and we had a great time!
