Summary: The hotel stay and kiosk check-in were fantastic. The food was somewhat mediocre. We ate meals at the Gran Lux, Sugarcane and Mercato della Pescheria. At the Gran Lux I ordered shrimp with the Pomodoro and the shrimp was dry and overcooked. The waiter just stared at me when I informed him and we had to ask for bread, parm and pepper. At the Sugarcane our pancakes were so hard I couldn't cut them with my fork. The waiter did take care of us and replaced the order with a waffle. At Mercato the food was decent, nothing standout. The service was great. All the restaurants seem to serve the same bread, and it's not very tasty. At the prices we are paying I expect more than a pre-bake loaf from Sysco. We've lived in LA and SF and travel enough to know good food. I would stay at the Venetian again, but more than likely eat outside.
