Our luxurious yet rustic lake house oasis sleeps 8 people & is the ultimate, private 9 acre lakefront property for Glamping, a Girls Weekend, a Weekend Retreat, a Family Gathering or to just get away from it all. It is a strict, no-pet, hypoallergenic home. All brand new furniture & furnishings. Well-appointed yet still has a warm and homey feel with knotty pine walls throughout, stone walls and HUGE stone fireplace in the great room. Sit in the sunroom & read... or bird watch. Take a walk in the forest or go bass fishing on the large dock down at the lake. Gourmet Kitchen is a jaw dropper with all the cooking amenities for all the foodies in your group. We have a baking cupboard with tins and pans and a Mixmaster. It's perfect for cooking a large meal as there are 2 Viking convection ovens, a Viking warming drawer and then a full conventional oven within the stove. Family sized fire pit for s'mores, a huge dock outfitted with lights and benches, 2 kayaks are available and assorted life vests. There is a tackle shed by the dock with poles and lures for you to have a lazy day fishing. Inside the home there is a card table, gaming area with PS3, strong WIFI signal, flat screen TV with cable, vintage Pac-Man machine, large laundry room with washer and dryer, huge dining room and MASSIVE great room with triple sized wood burning fireplace. All new furnishings throughout. Its pretty INCREDIBLE for everyone....We do have a generator in case Mother Nature decides to create a wonderful rain and lightening show. Our pool area is open from the Tuesday after Memorial Day to the Tuesday after Labor Day. The pool is an ECO-FRIENDLY, UNHEATED, black lagoon style pool that uses Mother Nature's sunlight to heat it up. We do not use harsh chemicals to maintain it. It is akin to a simulation of swimming in a lake, without the creatures that live in the lake. We would like to make a special notation that we do welcome adults and teens alike BUT we would like to advise potential guests with detailed information so you can make the right choice for your vacation. #1: Guests must walk down a paved path on an inclined hill to the beautiful dock area that is outfitted with benches, fishing poles & kayaks for admiring the lake and reversely, you must walk back up to the house. For people who are not comfortable walking or do not have the cardio health for incline walking back up to the house, you may become winded.#2. This show stopping home and expansive grounds contains a total of 8 sets of stairs , a jetted tub, a swimming pool, a lake, a second story deck with views, fireplaces, granite countertops and a bridge. If you searching for a vacation rental and have small children, this is not a suitable home for your young family. WE STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST CHILDREN UNDER 13 OR ANY ADULT WITH JOINT PAIN, DIFFICULTY WALKING, WALKERS OR ARE IN WHEELCHAIRS AS WE ARE NOT WHEELCHAIR OR WALKER EQUIPPED. We reserve the right to ask questions about whom will be staying on our property and all their ages and will decline the reservation based the property's suitability for the inquiring guest party. There is also a signature-request, short term lease agreement that must be signed, legally stating that all parents are responsible for their teen's accidents or any accidents of any individual in their party that are not physically capable enough to truly enjoy the great outdoors and a lakeside experience.
We wish to inform any family coming in glorious October, the powers that be at the dam, do lower the water level on Lake Saluda sometime in October. We have no control over the water level going down for yearly maintenance and cleaning however it never lasts more than 48 hours. We have yet to have a guest who wanted to get into the cold lake and kayak but we wanted to mention this point.) NO SPECIAL EVENTS. NO HOUSE PARTIES. NO SHOOTING OR HUNTING. NO MORE THAN 8 PEOPLE, INCLUDING TEENS, CAN BE ON THE PROPERTY AT ANYTIME, UNLESS PERMITTED PREVIOUSLY BY OWNER. ANY ILLEGAL ACTIVITY OF ANY KIND OR BREAKING OF HOUSE RULES WILL INVOLVE 100% FORFITURE OF THE $500 SECURITY DEPOSIT AND POSSIBLY POLICE AND ARRESTS
