Positive: My friend and I slept incredibly well on our trip! The beds were so comfortable, the sheets, duvet, pillows and mattress were fantastic and top quality. The room was very cosy and the bathroom was modern and clean. We were left plenty of towels to use, and a tea & coffee station which was much appreciated after a long day hiking. The location was perfect as you are about 1 minute walk into Ullapool shops, restaurant and pubs, but far enough away that it was really quiet in the night. There were also hiking books, and local newspapers available for us to read which was an added bonus.
Negative: Creaky floorboards upstairs, so if you get a room upstairs, think of the other guests underneath you!

Positive: Location. The room was comfortable and clean with quality bedding.
Negative: The house rules on booking.com say nothing about not being permitted to bring food back to the guesthouse, even to eat in the communal reception seating area. This is only disclosed at online check-in, a few days before you arrive, leaving you no realistic option to book elsewhere. As a solo traveller, I have no wish to sit in a restaurant in the evenings and I’m sure the restaurateurs don’t want to allocate a table to a single diner when it’s busy. If you’re happy to eat out every day, it’s a good place to stay.

Positive: new refurbished room with all you need. Natasha is a great host, she gives you lots of excellent recommendations on what to do and where to eat. it was a pleasure staying at the ullapool rooms. we will definitely come back!

Positive: We booked last minute when our ferry to the outer Hebrides was cancelled. It was a great location and the owner gave us loads of information about the area, including that there was a cinema visiting which gave us a new evening plan. Room was really lovely as well and very clean
