Summary: Now the rooftop area is very nice. The whole reason I stay at the Surfrider is for the rooftop. Food and drinks are all very good. This trip I had an issue with the room. It always has a very nice scent but it smelled like it was covering something up. It was more musty and heavy than previous trips. We noticed the curtains were water damaged and stained. If I was staying more than the one night, I would've made a bigger deal about it.

Summary: We stayed in a room that had a direct view of the pier and beach. We stayed in the Malibu suite that was beautiful and spacious. Staff was exceptional and responsive. Best perk. Free coffee delivered in the morning. *Chefs kiss* we will be back

Summary: Best hotel in Malibu. One of my favorite hotels in the world! Spotless, incredible people, great location, sublime aesthetic. Great rooftop deck cafe and bar overlooking the Pacific.And did I mention the staff??? The very, very best, in every way.
