Positive: The location is great and the host very helpful and cheerful.

Negative: Cooking pot and frying pan provided for the stove top could only be used one at a time as they were too big to be used together, however excellent the quality. Oven far too difficult to figure out.

Positive: We loved this apartment. It was a Beautiful, clean, comfortable and spacious apartment. Even though it was in the centre of the village it was very quiet. The host was always communicative and very helpful. It was approximately a 50 minute drive into Bordeaux. Many vineyards are a short drive away

Positive: Beautiful residence in a fab location. Blaye is a traditional French village in the wine producing countryside on the Gironde estuary. The apartment we stayed in was on the first floor above the English school, recently dec orated to a high spec. Our first impression was "wow" and it really did not disappoint. Beautiful decoration and furnishings, modern bathroom, fab kitchen facilities and even a selection of local wines for us to sample (at very reasonable prices) Emilie gave us a warm welcome on arrival and some good advice on local restaurants, vineyards and attractions. It's well worth a visit to the citadel, and take in one of the vineyards tours. Also don't miss the Saturday Market which has an amazing selection of fresh (and cooked) local produce. This was the highlight of our 3 week road trip. We hope to return. 5 * visit.

Positive: My partner and I travelled to Blaye from the UK at the beginning of July 2024 to attend our friends’ wedding at Château Borgeat de Lagrange. The Suites was a nearby venue that was available for our 4 days stay and, out of every accommodation booked throughout our Summer tour of France, our stay here was the most memorable. It is a very beautiful period property with a modern aesthetic. The host, Emilie, was exceptionally kind to us throughout our stay and could not have been more accommodating. A fantastic experience to visit Blaye and we hope to return here and stay at The Suites again. Excellent!

Positive: Stunning decor. Great location close to town but away from any noise. Free parking nearby. Emilie was very helpful and spoke perfect English.

Negative: One full length mirror somewhere would have been useful. Plus a small saucepan and new steak knives.
