Summary: Really nice pub in the centre of the village, staff were friendly and happy to help, room was very nice and comfortable bed etc and the food in the restaurant was lovely. Only spoiled by really by local clientele in the bar area being loud, vulgar, misogynistic and racist laughing loudly over such jokes and old enough to know better. I’m no prude and travel widely but just no need in such a nice bar.

Summary: We stayed for one night after our spa day at Ragdale hall in this lovely traditional hotel/pub in the charming little village. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless. We reserved a table in the restaurant and enjoyed a lovely meal and the included continental breakfast the next morning. Very accommodating host, thank you. Would highly recommend!

Summary: Very Friendly and welcoming staff with a great Ambience. I benefited from a free upgrade on my room which was a nice surprise. Pillows were fairly firm, some something to consider. All in all a great place to stay and eat good food
