Summary: The staff are immediately welcoming and friendly. Service was excellent with nothing being too much trouble. For a fairly small pub the food was outstanding with an excellent menu. The accommodation was very clean with tea and coffee making facilities as well as bottled water. Good selection of toiletries in bathroom. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Summary: My one night stay suites it’s purpose, it was a bit noisy overnight due to the room being over a pub. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy, but the shower was a little dirty. There was no television in the room. I was unable to have breakfast as I left early, but options were offered by staff. Not much around the immediate local area.

Summary: A minor Hiccup when we arrived as the staff did not know which room had been assigned to us. The staff looked after us very well whilst that was being sorted out and we had no other problems.

Summary: Everthing was perfect apart from the temperature in the room which was cold as the heating hadn,t been turned on yet and it was an exceptionally cold night.

Summary: We arrived on Friday afternoon having driven 150 miles to be told we had no room. The previous owners of the pub had been able to multi-book the bedrooms over and over and take payment through Expedia. The new pub owners were not able to contact people who had booked as Expedia did not allow the new owners access to the old pub owners account - they were then left not knowing who was arriving and were putting up people in friends houses for the weekend and without receiving payment. Happily, the new pub owner was able to find us a room with some shuffling around and our stay was excellent. They were very hospitable, the room had a few teething problems that they explained having received the pub only seven weeks beforehand.
