Positive: Friendly and helpful welcome. Immediately set up a tab for us so we could have a few drinks before checking-in proper. Good choice of food and our choices lived up to expectations. Good breakfast included in the price.

Positive: This is a lovely pub hotel. Historic, quirky, well looked after. It feels beautifully maintained and fresh whilst being sympathetic to its age. Evening meal delicious. Not cheap, but when the plates arrived each entirely justified their pricing by being special. Pub fish and chips never normally this individual and delicious. Breakfast matched. Staff were exclusively friendly, chatty and helpful.

Negative: We parked bang outside. Didn’t realise parking available behind pub too. Probably preferable as it was a busy road to reverse into the next morning. But this should not be considered a “didn’t like”!
