Positive: Fabulous holiday home. Decorated and furnished to a high standard. Clean, comfortable, very homely. Cottage well equipped and everything we needed was provided. Superb value for money. Excellent location for a visit to Alton Towers.

Negative: Nothing. I have no complaints whatsoever. Just perfect!

Positive: What a fantastic, spacious yet cosy space!! Loved the big kitchen table for mealtimes and was also great for playing our games around before collapsing on the comfy sofas.

Negative: Ultimately, nothing! Our own issue was not fully reading what facilities on offer so forgot our dishwasher tablets and own extras but was no issue as washing up liquid and all alternatives were there!

Positive: We had the pleasure of staying at the Stable, and our experience was simply wonderful. When we arrived, the house was spotlessly clean and had a lovely fresh scent. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the charming countryside atmosphere made everything even more special. We stayed there to visit Alton Towers, and the location was perfect — only an 8-minute drive away! Since we knew the house was in a more secluded area, we brought all the food we’d need for our stay. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again!

Positive: Fully furnished to a high spec with plenty of storage space. Exceptionally clean. Great location and spectacular views.

Negative: There is no WC downstairs and the bathrooms are both en-suite so, if you have any guests, they have to go via a bedroom. There was space for a small cloakroom under the stairs as ingtegrated fridge & freezer units could make better use of the many empty kitchen cupboards. There is a real lack of plug sockets in bedrooms. I had to move both beds in twin room to plug in phone charger and laptop as sockets are behind headboards. Hairdryer was provided but socket located behind chest of drawers/dresser which had to be pulled out to use for hairdryer/straighteners. Would have been logical to hang a mirror in this area as the only one in the bedroom was on the opposite side of the room and way too high to be of use to me at just 5ft tall! In the double room, sockets were located about 5ft off the floor, which again made charging things difficult. It is a super modern conversion so it seems odd that it lacked these. Unusual feature whereby the loo paper runs over the stone wall! The only real issue we had was not being able to turn the heating on and so both myself and my 82 year old father woke up cold in the night. It may have only been the end of August, but it was damp and miserable outside and there are bare stone walls in all of the rooms. The welcome book stated that the owners lived next-door so can be reached but they were not in when I tried to get assistance on the Saturday evening. Perhaps getting a Ring doorbell would enable them to answer queries when they are not at home. I also sent an email via Booking.com about the heating but this went unaswered until Monday, by which time we were checking out. Lovely place overall and I would stay again as it is local to family, but would have to pack a couple of extension leads and some thick pyjamas.

Positive: Lovely cottage. We stayed 4 nights at this cottage. It was clean and welcoming. Furniture and facilities were modern and comfortable. So close to Alton towers which was a bonus.

Positive: Very spacious and clean place with amazing views. Very close to alton towers which was our main reason to visit. Definitely need to drive as not near any supermarkets or smaller shops. Will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend!!
