Positive: Perfect location to explore the area. Log fire perfect as snowed when we were there! Staff a credit to them. Food superb and a stunning room. We went to relax and that’s just what we did. Highly recommend for food or overnight stay.

Positive: Lovely welcoming atmosphere. All the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room (3) was enormous with views of the river and delicious Eccles Cakes provided daily! Imaginative and tasty food, particularly breakfast with lots of different choices. A popular place for walkers. Good parking across the road from the pub.

Negative: The mattress and pillow were very firm and not particularly comfortable but that is only my personal preference. I would not let that detract from the excellent experience that we otherwise had.

Positive: Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Room was great and bed was comfy. Room had everything we needed and even a fridge with fresh milk and water, the Shampoo/body wash smelt so nice. Food was excellent the evening meal (beef brisket melted in my mouth and breakfast choice was fantastic. We certainly will be returning. Special mention to Oliver the manager who is a credit to the hotel.

Positive: Lovely countryside location easy to get to. Courteous staff. Roomy bedroom with a comfortable bed. Fab breakfast. Will return.

Negative: The wall mirror light didn't work in the bathroom and we couldnt turn on the towel heater

Positive: Room was lovely, very clean It was a little warm but we had had a sunny day, maybe would have been good to have windows open slightly just to help air the room, especially on a warm sunny day. Breakfast was lovely, Service a little slow, Waitress didn't come to our table we had to approach them to take our orders
