Positive: Felt like a home away from home, well stocked kitchen, great view. They were really helpful when we had an issue with the toilet and check in and check out were straightforward. We'll definitely be back!

Negative: So many stairs! Great workout for the kids and great for hide and seek but I feel like I've been to the gym

Positive: - The amount of space in the house for the cost was really good value: we were a group of 5 friends and there was ample shared space in the kitchen, lounge and terrace for us to spend time together, yet also the split floor layouts gave us individual privacy when needed (so great for a longer stay). - There's also plenty of space for boots, coats and bags in the entry hallway, if you plan on going hiking, doing sports or spending time on the beach. - The kitchen was fully kitted out for a large group of people, with loads of crockery, glassware and cooking pans/utensils. - The roof terrace is a real gem of this place: unfortunately we didn't stay long enough/the weather wasn't dry enough for us to use this much, but it'd be a lovely place to eat or have an evening drink during warmer months of the year. - The location is really good: close enough to walk into Hastings, really close to the beach, 10 minutes walk from St Leonards Warrior Square station, and a (rather steep uphill) walk from a large Lidl for cooking provisions.

Negative: - We were a group of healthy, able-bodied people, so the stairs were just an inconvenience to us: all the living space is at the top of the house (3 half floors), bedrooms and bathrooms on the lower floors (6 half floors), with the entrance hallway about halfway between the bedroom floors. If you stay in the lowest basement bedroom, as I did, it was good to have a prepared mindset and take everything you need for the day once dressed and going up for breakfast. - The key box was a bit tricky to open - two of us tried and we almost gave up, until a third person in our group managed it: the lever/latch you have to pull down (whilst also pulling open the front of the box) was really hard to hold onto, so I'd caution other visitors to persevere.

Summary: Comfortable, well-fitted-out, with a great roof terrace.
