Summary: We stayed in a Romance Villa which was stunning (a Hotels.com VIP upgrade - thanks). The view was superb and the deck and private pool also. BUT - we will not be going back. All the marketing that we saw before we booked showed an empty and very large beach. The beach is certainly large but never empty as it is home to sunbed after sunbed. The Shore is at the end of a bay where there are several other hotels (one which is huge) and it is a very busy area. Not what we expected at all. I hope our photo shows the reality You have to pay to use a sunbed on the beach (even as a guest of The Shore) - and will be amongst hundreds (if not thousands) with barely "a cigarette paper" (English expression) between them. The lovely Romance room and huge, well-maintained, gardens did not make up for that

Summary: I stayed in the villa rooms with the private pool. The room was spectacular the best hotel room I have stayed in. The staff and customer service was 5 stars. They were very helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make my birthday special. Staff were polite and friendly. Great getting around the resort on the buggy’s and the food was also nice and a wide variety to chose from. Nice sandy beaches. Cab fair on the GRAB app very cheap and not to far from patong beach. Would definitely recommend this hotel and I would visit again
