Positive: We loved the quiet countryside atmosphere. The location was perfect for exploring the region and its natural wonders. The host was communicative and gave great tips on nice restaurants! We also enjoyed having the horses come by to say hi sometimes. :)

Positive: Charming shepherds hut (with everything you could reasonably want in it) located on a quiet rural property. The owners were friendly, and helpful with useful nearest pub and shops advice. Stayed here twice in 2025 and would have stayed again next year but sadly the shepherd's hut is already booked.

Negative: Not a negative for us, but if you can't live without WiFi and don't like being close to nature then this may not be for you.

Summary: A perfect setting for our short break.

Positive: Beautifully located with fields around, quiet and peaceful. Watching the deer in the fields behind the hut was a particular treat. Really friendly people on site making us feel very welcome. Very clean and tidy Shepherd's Hut, charmingly presented.

Positive: The hut was set back from the road surrounded by beautiful fields, horses, trees, and sculptures. It was very cosy and comfortable. Also well situated for Kingsley Vale and gastro pubs.

Negative: it would have been nice to have tea bags and coffee provided and milk.

Positive: The location is fabulous, private and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful, a field of standing stones, small fish pond and numerous sculptures. Friendly horses, too! The hut is well fitted out. Great choice of seating outside. Quality oak furnishings. It's compact but comfortable. Nicky, the owner's father, was lovely and friendly.

Negative: A couple of niggles-the fridge was inadequate and old. The ice box had defrosted when I arrived and I had to clean up the floor, and it defrosted again during my stay, so food below the ice box was wet. The plug of the small kitchen sink did not hold water, so I had to just rinse the washing up.

Positive: The shepherd's hut was in an extremely peaceful location. The location was perfect, as it was only 4 miles from the wedding venue (Farbridge), and a short walk into the local village pub. The bed was really comfortable and the facilities were great for a Shepherd's Hut.

Negative: I thought the price for 2 nights was quite expensive. I would expect more facilities wise for the price paid. Other than that, everything was great.

Summary: Great location, beautiful Shepherd's Hut and extremely tranquil location.
