Built in 2023, this modern open plan 2 bed, 2.5 bath townhome has incredible views and luxurious finishing, perfect for a relaxing stay in Girdwood, and a great kickoff point or home base for your Alaska adventures. The townhouse is fully equipped and thoughtfully designed. There are 2 private decks, one facing the mountain, one facing a creek, plus a dedicated workspace. Located in the core of Girdwood, it's a short walk to restaurants, coffee shops, nature trails, disc golf course, library, the brewery and more. (Note: Girdwood is 45 minutes from Anchorage).
Each bedroom has a queen bed with high quality linens and multiple types of pillows, and a full length mirror. The primary bedroom has a workstation to take virtual meetings or emails, separate from the main living area. The chaise in the primary bedroom is waiting for you to read a great book or take an afternoon nap. The bathrooms have towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and hair dryer.
Rain or shine, The Seymour is light and bright inside and is a special place to relax and unwind, especially after a day outside in AK. Views from the many windows look out to mountains, trees, a creek and even glaciers. Sit outside on one of two private decks and enjoy the scenery in the fresh air. A three person hot tub is on the back deck.
There are great restaurants in Girdwood, but if you choose to cook, we have what you’ll need. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, microwave, high end pots and pans, baking dishes, waffle maker, and over 20 spices. Clean up is made easy with a full size dishwasher and large sink.
Full size washer and dryer is on the top floor by the bedrooms. Laundry soap, a small ironing board and iron included.
The Seymour is in a quiet building of five townhouses in the downtown core of Girdwood. It’s on three levels with stairs going to each. This is a great spot for couples or a family with older children. There is parking for up to two vehicles included with the unit. (Guests do not have access to the garage). Access to the townhouse is using the keypad on the front door. You won't have to carry keys during your stay.
In the pantry, you’ll find tennis rackets and balls, a pickleball set and frisbee/disc golf set to use at the courts and course just a five minute walk from the place. There’s also a can of bear spray to take with you on your outdoor adventures, during your stay. If you want to stay inside, there's a Smart TV; log in to your favorite streaming service. (No local cable provided). There's also books, puzzles, and some board games to use during your stay.
Safety: There are smoke and carbon monoxide detectors inside the townhome. We have a security camera/recording device on the front and back exterior doors. There is a creek/open water behind the townhome. There are multiple flights of stairs.
The owners have cats that periodically are inside The Seymour when the owners stay at the property in the winter. We are not currently accepting pets during guest stays. Fall 2025: Construction is happening on a commercial building in the front part of the lot. The building is framed and roof is going on mid-October. When they do work, it is typically weekdays during business hours.

Summary: Our daughter & her family live in Girdwood so this was a visit to see our girls. Condo was perfect for us. Great location. Beautiful, new build. No complaints!

Summary: We were overjoyed by our accommodations, and the level of details of what was provided already at the townhouse, the cleanliness of everything once we had arrived. It had been a long time since we found such perfectly stocked accommodations. They thought through everything, kitchen appliances, storage, spices on hand, even an emergency pizza on hand if you get in too late (so thoughtful). It has the simple luxuries of boot warmers, ski nook, games, shampoo and conditioner in the showers, thermoses, and even a growler to fill up at the local brewery. We absolutely loved our stay, and this location. The Seymour thought of everything!

Summary: Alaska has been on my bucket list for quite some time. My friend and I both have the ikon pass so we decided to head over to Alaska and check out Alyeska. The townhouse has great attention to detail really enjoyed the boot warmers the gravity grabbers and the hot tub. Holly and David have paid very close attention to the the needs of their guests one small example would be the great fluffy towels. The location was perfect. Just five minutes from the resort and the creek outback was great to listen to. We even saw a bald eagle, while, walking along the bank. If you’re considering booking this place look no further and submit your reservation. The hot tub was perfect after being on the slopes all day and the town of Girdwood is clearly investing in updating the area.

Summary: My dad and I stayed at The Seymour for our second trip to Alaska in August 2024 and were amazed with how beautiful, pristine, and accommodating the townhome and David and Holly were. The views outside the front and back windows are serene and breathtaking; you have trees and a stream in the back and Mt. Alyeska in the front. This was the cleanest and nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in; it even smells brand new upon entry. David and Holly were the most wonderful hosts as they graciously answered my questions leading up to and during our stay. They are thoughtful enough to send guests a checklist on items that they have in the townhome which makes it easier to know what to bring and/or buy. We appreciated the information binder which featured how to work appliances, what to do for checkout, and the nearest locations for food in and around Girdwood. I will definitely stay here again during my next Alaska adventure as I fell in love with the townhome's beauty.

Summary: We stayed in early June 2024 and could not have been happier with the accommodations. The furniture was top notch, decor on point and best of all, the mattresses were comfortable. This David and Holly thought of every detail that a guest could want. The info book included every bit of information about the townhome, the food options in Girdwood and other helpful tips about the surrounding area. The babbling creek behind the townhome was nice and has an easily walkable path which we took for dinner to The Double Musky. We'd stay here again in a minute!

Summary: Easy communication, all my questions were answered and the responses were very prompt. The hosts provided very beneficial information about the townhouse and community before our trip that helped us add to our plans and made the trip even more enjoyable. Super easy check-in. Two balconies to enjoy the beautiful views. The living room had a wonderful view of Alyeska mountain top (home of Seven Glaciers restaurant and the Bore Tide!); where from the warmth and comfort of a cozy chair I enjoyed a sunset casting a perfect pinkish glow over the snow covered mountain. We highly recommend this townhouse and hosts. We felt like guests in a friend’s home with the luxury details, thoughtful provisions, and warm environment. We hope to return to enjoy the quaint town of Girdwood again in hiking season and enjoy the lovely balcony views.
