Summary: Wonderful room, absolutely spotlessly clean. Staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Location is absolutely perfect for Oban town. Carpark is a bit awkward but usable, but there is additional parking within a few minutes walk. Breakfast depending on how busy hotel is you get buffet or table sevi both of which gave you a great start to the day.

Summary: Basic room but the twin beds were very narrow and quite uncomfortable.Neither of us could fall asleep in them so we headed for home at 4am.Parking at rear of hotel is by meter and we had to drive round in a circuit for half an hour before we found a space.You can only book 2hr maximum so I had to keep running back every 2hrs to top up the meter....not much fun.

Summary: I stayed in Fortwilliam on the Monday and Tuesday, was supposed to be staying four nights but had to return home due to having caught a bug, was sick all day Wednesday, got medication from chemist lay in bed until lunchtime then made the return home, I thought I had taken out insurance to cover this but when I phoned the hotel they informed me there would be no refund as I had booked through tribal, very disappointed the other hotel in Granton and Spey were very understanding and didn’t charge.

Summary: The hotel is an imposing building at a prominent location in Oban a short walk from bus stops and the train station. My room was comfortable with traditional furnishings. Although l had some occasional internal noise from other rooms l slept very well. I was at the front of the hotel but there was little external noise. The buffet breakfast had various hot and cold options with efficient service. Good poached eggs were cooked to order. The hotel has a bar that serves meals. All the staff l met were friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay at the hotel again.

Summary: Fantastic welcome from reception staff who were very friendly. Managed to find a space in the small car park at the back which was a . As I walked up the stairs, I was slightly worried as the carpets are extremely worn and tatty - coming away from the walls in places. However, upon entering my room, I was relieved to find it beautifully decorated and clean. The bathroom looked new and the shower was very powerful. I will note that the shampoo holder was broken, though. Having breakfast included was great - I headed down and unfortunately the lady seated me but did not tell me that there was a buffet so I did spend a few minutes sat there waiting for someone to take my order before I realised I needed to go in the next room and help myself. It would’ve been nice if she had explained that when she sat me down! Breakfast was wonderful, tasty with lots of choice and there was a proper coffee machine, which is always appreciated. Checkout was easy. I just dropped the keys and I was asked if everything had been okay. Will definitely be returning.
