Positive: What a wonderful, CLEAN and quaint little place to stay. The most luxurious bed and overall a very nice experience. Looking forward to going back. Loved being able to text with the owners too.

Negative: If I had to critique anything it would just be that the restaurant and bar were under construction. There was no noise or anything but we're excited to go back and enjoy that amenity.

Positive: I have friends in Cape Vincent so the location was perfect. My daughters and I came to celebrate my husband's life (he died in March 2025) since he spent the majority of his childhood at their camp on Murray Island and then as an adult numerous duck hunting and bass fishing trips in the Cape. Spent time remembering many happy memories.

Negative: Was kind of eerie not having anyone at the front desk but everything went smoothly. Wish the restaurant and bar were open.

Summary: Clean, comfortable environment would stay again.

Positive: This is a fantastic little hotel in the charming village of Cape Vincent. From what we were told, it has been recently renovated and it is extraordinary. It is. self check-in/out hotel which was something new for us-but it worked very well. It is mere steps to the heart of this little village and some shops, a market and a restaurant. it is also close to Clayton, NY where there are more restaurants, etc. The decor was fantastic and the beds are so comfortable, We had a great nights sleep. it is one block from the river and short hike (2.5 miles) to the Tibbets Point Lighthouse.

Negative: There were no USB ports to charge but we had the right equipment with us so that was not a problem. TV was Roku only so it was hard to find normal network channels, but it was fine.

Summary: Great historic hotel in a charming historic village along the St. Lawrence River.

Positive: It is a lovely, historic, remodeled hotel, clean and bright, and in a good location. I did need to change my reservation date, and Nola was very nice and accomodating. Great TV stations. The bed was comfortable and water pressure very good.

Negative: Cleaning staff were the only staff I met, and very helpful. When I returned at dusk, there was no light on over the entry door and no on duty. It seemed deserted. I was not made aware of an elevator, so when I came in with bags, I had to walk up stairs, stopping to catch my breath. The room was much smaller than expected. I would not put large people in it. I opened the window for good "River" air and immediatly shut it, as the inside sill was horribly filthy. I looked out the peephole, and it fell out in my hand, and the outside piece was on the hall floor. I taped it up. I was not aware that the restaurant was under construction.

Summary: It's a nice place, but needs staffing. I'm sure that will change with the summer season.

Positive: The brick building and old feel of it but still being up to date with fixtures.

Negative: I didn't have any ghost experiences. It was built in the 1800s so I expected at least one spooky thing to happen.
