Positive: It was spotless and beautiful. A very roomy two rooms with a large bathroom with a shower and a bath. Our view overlooked Firle Beacon and was just so lovely! We felt very spoilt! TV WiFi large kitchen area. We booked breakfast which was sumptuous. David and Val were excellent hosts- warm and kind and very friendly. This was at the end of our walk of 7 days of the South Downs way and when we arrived at rose cottage (beacon view) we truly felt that God was looking after us! We were very well looked after and cannot recommend this experience enough.

Positive: The location was beautiful, the accommodation excellent. Our hosts suggested a visit to nearby Berwick Church which was splendid and then we went to Charleston House, well worth a visit. We wished we could have stayed at Rose Cottage longer to explore the countryside so we will definitely be back later in the year.

Negative: Nothing could have been better! David and Val have done a great job, thank you.

Summary: Our too-short stay was great. A comfy apartment with everything we needed in a lovely setting.

Positive: Having walked 27 miles of the South Downs Way and arriving after dark I needed somewhere that would give immediate relief - and this ticked all the boxes. The layout is well thought out and takes in an incredible view of Firle Beacon. I wished I could have stayed longer but the end of the SDW walk was only 11 miles away!

Negative: Nothing. It is well situated and every amenity was made available.

Summary: Just what the doctor ordered and will be back again for sure.
