Positive: Excellent customer service (we left behind an iPad and Dan got it couriered back to us very quickly). Easy conversation with host. Beautiful and peaceful setting. Cosy lodge with very comfortable beds. Nice wood fire to keep us toasty. Cooked breakfast every morning. Nice shared lounge and access to kitchen if you needed. Microwave, kettle and basic cutlery/crockery in room also handy. New spa pools for each chalet great addition. Electric vehicle charging if you need. Outdoor BBQ and pizza oven - to try next time!8

Positive: Very nice place to stay with wonderful breakfast. It’s clean and comfortable, quiet and cosy. Very warm and welcoming host. The place is easy access to the Ohakune town centre and the ski fields.

Positive: Property manager was very nice and easy to talk to. My family needed to leave early to go to Whakapapa during our stay and he offered to provide early breakfast for us at 6:30am.
Summary: Lovely place to spend with family and friends. I would come back again next time.

Positive: The river Lodge was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Dani was an excellent host and very helpful. I had a bad cold actually strep throat and he was helpful in arranging for a doctor‘s visit and my husband lost a crown and he made arrangements for a dentist. Our room was quite lovely, well appointed, and the bathroom was very modern and updated. Excellent shower and extremely comfortable bed. The room actually had a toaster, coffee maker, small heater, refrigerator, etc. Our breakfast was delicious and he was willing to cook eggs or anything else that we asked for. The grounds were impeccable, with many flowers and beautiful trees. There was a comfortable sitting area as well, by a fireplace, and although we did not use it while we were there, it was available to us. He gave us a good recommendation for a restaurant which we enjoyed. This is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it.

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay. We especially appreciated the friendly and attentive way Mr. Daniel took care of all our needs. Mr. Daniel also pointed out the golf course just five minutes away. The Parkland Course is a must for every golfer. In addition, Mr. Daniel informed us that he can provide rental golf sets. Important for all golfers: stay one extra day to fully enjoy both the course and the lodge.

Positive: We enjoyed our 3 day stay thanks Daniel! We stayed on the bungalow and we enjoyed its ambience and appreciated Daniel’s art and woodwork. We liked the general Facilities too including bbq, option to use main kitchen, and main lounge.
