Summary: The home was beautifully appointed. The beds were comfortable and all the TVs worked. We had a toddler and the Poole was great for her There are some issues with cleanliness, but nothing major. It looked like it had been a while since anyone had thoroughly cleaned the back yard and pool area. You need to bring your own laundry pod, Kleenex, dish soap, etc. It was a very delightful, relaxing back yard and a nice spot at night to gather and listen to music and float in the pool. I would recommend this place for a relaxing weekend getaway!

Summary: Usually a rental place ends up being smaller in person than it appeared in the pictures, but not here! We were amazed by how spacious and accommodating our house was. We were in Lexington to visit our family who live in Elgin. We would have stayed in Elgin, but we couldn’t find a place with a pool there. Lexington is small and not much to do, but we weren’t looking for anything to do. Our purpose was to relax and spend time with our family. This house was perfect! We could not have dreamed of a more perfect place. The hosts were amazing and very easy to communicate with, making the stay effortless and stress free.

Summary: Overall very good. Would stay again. Just the little details when it comes to cleanliness. Vents dust, cabinets could use a good cleaning. Pool was lukewarm. Would have preferred it cooler and more refreshing but it was still fun.

Summary: Loved the house. Amazingly eye catching kitchen and living room area, and the pool/backyard was out of an Instagram picture. The neighborhood I rated one star off because you won’t find much to do within 20 miles. The house is on a short dirt road leading to a highway so you won’t be able to walk much either. If you’re looking to hole up inside a cute house with a pool and fenced yard this is it! We did venture out to a few forest preserves and towns, worth the 40-50 min drives.

Summary: The property itself is lovely, beautiful decor, comfy beds and everything you'd need in a quiet street. There's not much to do in town but there are a few stores and a restaurant or two. Whilst everything was surface clean in the property and I was confident that the sheets were freshly washed etc. the property did need a good deep clean and freshen up both inside and out and I had to re-wash out clothes after using the washing machine as it was mildewy and very black around the seal and and made everything smell very odd. These issues alone were not terrible but unfortunately on arriving to the property the pool/spa did not work and it wasn't until our 5th night the owner got it working. We totally understand things go wrong and that it was something he couldn't initially fix himself but communication about this was poor and we had to constantly ask for updates and prompt for a response/action. It didn't appear to be a priority. The heated pool was the sole reason for our trip to this particular property as per our kids request and it really did spoil those first few days, we had already started to look at other properties in Austin to move to so we could have the break we had looked forward to but our host, on his second visit to try and repair managed to get it working. We had no offer of any refund/compensation for the fact the main attraction of the property (to us anyway) did not work which is a shame. Overall if the pool is working it was good but because of our issues we wouldn't return.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at this home! It's beautifully decorated and has an amazing backyard space with plenty of awesome amenities. While we ended up not having a chance to use the pool, there were plenty of tables and chairs, plus hammocks, for sitting around and catching up with friends, and we really loved the electric fireplace and covered deck in the backyard. The indoor space was also very spacious and well-appointed for hanging out and gathering with friends. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen for cooking meals, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the living room was perfect for watching movies together. We'll definitely come back for another staycation!
