Large, 4,000 sq. ft. home in the woods backing up to Pisgah National Forest in Mills River, NC. On 6 acres with private in-ground swimming pool (not heated and only open May-Sept), volley ball court, basket ball, pickleball court (on blacktop driveway with portable net) and large parking area, firepits, huge deck, small pond (no fishing) and walking trails. 10 minutes to Brevard, 22 minutes to Asheville or Hendersonville. 10 minutes to Sierra-Nevada Brewery and Riveter, 6 minutes to Bold Rock Cider Outdoor area. Hiking/Biking everywhere. Home has master bedroom on entire top floor with master bathroom and balcony overlooking living room. PacMan game in Living room to play. 2 Guest Bedrooms on Main with Remodeled full bathroom. Large Living room with wood burning fireplace, Large kitchen with Quartz counter tops, stainless steel appliances. Walkout basement with 2 bedrooms, laundry room and huge Family room with Ping-Pong Table and access to patio under giant deck. If you are looking for a property close to biking and hiking, this is it. Close to Dupont State Forest and Davidson River and Transylvania County with all the waterfalls and white squirrels. Excellent family home anytime of the year. Keep in mind this is our primary residence so we do live here with our cat and dog when it is not rented.

Summary: We loved this property! We were a group of three small families, reuniting for a weekend in the mountains. We had dogs and small children with us, and everyone enjoyed their stay!

Summary: We felt it was going to be a magical visit from the moment we began winding up a moss covered driveway which led us to a gorgeous home that opened up on what seemed like a couple cleared acres. The home is towering with its 20 something foot steeple like great room and plenty of inside communal space. As nice as the inside was we spent most of our time walking the moss covered trails, playing volley ball and basketball and playing on floats in the pool. It was a lovely getaway. Renee was easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had.

Summary: Property is as advertised. My group was in Brevard to mountain bike. Location is absolutely perfect. It was great to come back to a house with plenty of space on minutes from the trails. Owner was very communicative. We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We had a family group of 8 and there was plenty of space in the house for us. We really enjoyed the property (fun trails for our 3 year old and he practiced "fishing" in the creek). It was very convenient to the Pisgah National Forest for hiking and fly fishing and we really enjoyed afternoons and evenings at the private pool. Owner was very responsive and did request that we keep an eye on the pool water level and skimmers and washed and put away the pool towels.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Everything was clean, well stocked, plenty of room for everyone. The pool was a hit along with outdoor area where the kids enjoyed riding their hover boards, playing pickle ball, basketball plus the ping pong table downstairs. Owner was very responsive, helpful. The only complaint was the one bed on the main floor was uncomfortable - other than that it was a perfect location, with lots to do.

Summary: This was a perfect house for our family vacation. The house had plenty of room to accommodate our large group (6 adults and three children under the age of 10) with room to spare. The swimming pool, koi pond and hiking trails on the property were wonderful to explore and enjoyed by the kids and adults alike. Communication with our host, Renee, was excellent. She is very responsive and provided some great suggestions for shopping as well as local places to explore and experience. Asheville and the Biltmore are very reachable as are numerous hiking and mountain biking opportunities. All in all this was the perfect home base for our family getaway!

Summary: I have rented a lot of large homes, but this home was high on a peak in the middle of the woods like a bird sanctuary. The flowers, birds, and grounds were stunning. I would love to own this home. It was the best equipped kitchen it had every appliance, pot, pan like a commercial kitchen. The A/C was excellent, word to the wise check before you rent, not all luxury homes have A/C. My sister got her own rental @ $3,800 left it after 8 hours because of no air and they wouldnt refund her money. The showers were hot, the beds were comfortable, tons of TVs. And there was a beautiful koi pond with a fire pit. My favorite place was the deck where the bird feeders were located. It was close within 5 miles of 3 different golf courses, which the men played all 3. They allowed our 2 dogs who did not want to leave this playground for them. The pool, tennis, basketball, archery were all so much fun. I cant say enough about the communication and generosity of Renee. Our battery died and AAA was 2 hours away her husband came within 12 minutes and we were on our way. I am definitely going to rent this again.
