Summary: Our only complaint was that the room we got was facing fairly busy traffic street. We had assumed that by booking well in advance. We would get a premier room location. But it doesn’t really work that way I guess.

Summary: Another unforgettable experience at the Red Lion. My family has been coming up for 50 years, we’re happy to continue the tradition. Wether Fall, Spring, Summer or Winter, the 4 seasons at the Red Lion are always a favorite!

Summary: If you want a perfect New England experience, this is the place. The hotel is amazing, it’s older so don’t think you’re going to walk into a modern place, but don’t let that deter you, the vibe is great! Will definitely stay here again.

Summary: A beautiful and charming inn, but the buildings are older and it could use some maintenance and updating. We did not have hot water on the morning we were checking out. The porches are comfy and very quaint.

Summary: Bedding and bed were lovely. excellent to have good lighting at sink as well as a magnified mirror! Often lacking in places we have stayed. AC had trouble cooling the room down until we turned it on full blast. too much ambient light from floodlight on property next door and from hall (I finally turned off hallway light which helped. ) Common areas and halls need some brightening up with fresh, lighter paint--seemed dingy. Was terribly frustrating trying to make the Nespresso machine work. We do not own one and there were NO INSTRUCTIONS. You should assume people do not know how to operate any appliances like that and should have a card with directions. We gave up and went to the Tavern where we had lovely coffee and breakfast. Also had a great dinner in Tavern after our arrival. The patch burrata salad was superb. As was our waitress.

Summary: We stopped at the red lion Inn on our travels back home from Maine. Our room was a block away from the main building and in an old house. It was very clean and comfortable. The location in town is nice.

Summary: I have been coming to the RLI every year for twenty years have stayed in many of the houses and the main inn. I love the pool and the hot tub. I could not believe how messy the gardens and patio area were with overgrown weeds, just not how it is usually. I understand the age of the inn and surroundings homes. The outside of all the building are very worn and peeling paint.

Summary: Historic property. Slept at Steven's House. Shabby with no elevator. Had to carry bags up long flight of stairs. Bed comfy with nice linens. Quiet which was good. Stayed for Tanglewood outing. Property very overpriced for what it is. Would stay elsewhere next time. Porch bar and dining room were good. Maybe just eat and drink here.
