Positive: The room was perfect, nice welcome, with friendly service. Fantastic views across the valley.

Negative: It is isolated as it is on a working farm. Restaurant served great food, although lacking in atmosphere as only four for dinner. Bathroom had a shower/bath, with a glass wall looking over the valley, lovely affect but not that practical to get in and out.

Positive: Every aspect of this boutique, modern eco lodge was AMAZING! We stayed for a couple of days after Christmas and loved the festive feel, fire pits, and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The buildings blend in with the landscape and interiors are stunning - recommend staying in Chalet Neru. The food was delicious and higher end and the fruit / veg grown onsite. Our kids loved the farm tour and homemade ice cream and jams. All staff were super friendly, professional and seemed genuinely happy to work there. Kitchen was accommodating with my allergy restrictions. I’d been concerned about insects before we arrived however only spotted a couple of stick insects outdoors during our trip. Everyone in our family wished we could have stayed at the property for at least one more night.

Negative: In Dec 2024, the property didn’t have a liquor license however we were able to buy some in the nearby town.

Summary: Unique eco property with stunning views is one our favourite properties we’ve stayed in!

Positive: Beautiful modern boutique hotel, only a small number of rooms on a farm about 25mins outside of Nuwara Eliya. Recently built/renovated. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Stunning rooms and views.

Negative: Nothing really. No complaints at all.

Summary: Two nights in a chill out country spot with great food and staff and a amazing views.

Positive: The stay at the Plains property was a highlight of our trip. The accommodation was good, but the views are what you pay for! Salin the concierge on duty was incredible with his hospitality and made sure that my partner and I had everything we needed!

Negative: Some of the parts of the room and lodging were dusty, but not a major issue.

Positive: It’s about 15 minutes by tuk tuk from Ambewela station. gorgeous view from the property. great food at the restaurant too! i went to hike the horton’s plain very early in the morning, the staff prepared sandwiches for me.

Negative: alcohol license is still on the way, so the restaurant doesn’t sell booze.
