Positive: We loved the breakfast. The room was very beautiful too. We were very relaxed and enjoyed our stay very much. The room was wide, and luminous. The toilet was also spacious and pleasant. The complimentary coffee was very much appreciated.

Negative: There was nothing that we particularly disliked. Small points for improvement would be: the stairs to access the room were a bit rickety and looked shaky and unsafe. The mattress was slightly too soft for our taste.

Positive: The Peat Spade Inn was a welcome stay after a day spent walking the Test Way, with a powerful shower and a roll-top bath awating us. Our dinner was excellent (we both had Dover sole): far superior to normal 'pub grub'. The staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was also high quality, and included smoked salmon. The Inn itself is fishing themed: comfortable and informal.

Negative: Although we had a comfortable room with a large bed, we did find navigating the barn door to the bathroom somewhat tricky as it had a habit of coming off its lower track.

Summary: Comfortable Inn with excellent food, ideal for those walking the Test Way.
