Positive: Breakfast was ample and well presented but limited choice. No continental breakfast at all. Dinner again was tasty and ample but there were no snacks like toasted sandwiches during the day and teatime was really only gateau, nothing savoury. Lovely hotel with attentive, helpful staff who wanted to please. Organisation a bit awry at times it they put things right willingly.

Negative: As I said food choice was limited at breakfast and in general throughout the day

Positive: The rooms at the Peacock are fantastic. Every comfort thought of including the scone on arrival. Unusual to find air coincidence too. The bathroom is also spacious and well designed. The staff are so friendly and helpful from reception to the restaurant and bar staff. Highly recommend the bistro style food which is excellent and plentiful. The breakfast is also superb. One of the best places I've stayed in in the UK. Could not have been more pleased with our stay.
