"The Palms" is a tranquil riverside retreat featuring an amazing view of the Manatee River, massive tiki hut and dock on a palm studded property.
Bring the BOAT! There is dockage for up to a 35' boat. There is plenty of good fishing, restaurants and sand bars out there. While you are right on the river, you are just blocks to restaurants, marinas, shopping, beautiful parks, tennis and basketball courts. The Riverwalk, Anna Maria Island and St. Pete Beaches are a short distance away. And we provide everything you will need for a beach day. Our home is in a historic established area along the river with tree lined sidewalks perfect for walks, running or biking.
The gourmet kitchen features a 6 burner gas stove, high end appliances, WINE FRIDGE, massive island with prep sink and is well equipped with everything you could need - just grab the groceries. The cooking will be done with an expansive view of the water. For those big family meals, the dining room table can seat up to 16 people comfortably.
The home has an open concept with beautiful views from all living areas. The living room boasts an 85" TV with theatre system and reclining leather sofas for movie nights. In the family room off the kitchen you will find big leather chairs perfect for reading, enjoying the fountain and birds right outside or catching that nap.
The whole second story is a pool/game room with pool table, large screen TV, bar, gaming table and games. This can also be used as a bunk room for the kids as it is stocked with 4 cots, sleeping bags and bedding. There are French doors leading to a balcony with Adirondack chairs to relax and watch the river.
Of course the best part of this home is the attached, massive tiki hut! Enjoy relaxing on the large sofa sectional or dining at the table and tiki bar with a TV for those games. For those guys there is an outdoor kitchen for grilling with a huge gas grill, Green Egg grill/smoker and commercial ice maker.
There is plenty of privacy to be had as the bedrooms are split. There are 2 master suites (both have TVs) and 3 additional bedrooms. One bedroom is set up with an office should someone in the party need to "be connected". One room has a crib if needed.
There is high speed WIFI throughout the home and all TVs are "Smart". Unlike many vacation homes, our home is well appointed with everything you could need for your stay such as plenty of linens, towels, paper products, basic kitchen essentials (spices, coffee, filters, etc.), toiletries and cleaning supplies. Just pack the suitcase and grab some groceries.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property! We were relaxed from the time we stepped up to the front porch. Everything is very well appointed and comfortable. Tons of outdoor space with a constant tropical breeze. Gregg and Lori were amazing hosts and went way out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We brought our boat and enjoyed easy access to the marina and some of our favorite fishing spots. 10/10 we highly recommend!

Summary: This place fits all your needs. AHeated Pool, large outdoor patio with beautiful palapa, grill, lounge chairs, and wood rockers on the front porch for morning coffee. We had the most relaxing time with our friends, plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy watching the boats on the river. We were able to rent a pontoon boat, it was delivered to the homeowners dock. The beds were all comfortable, the living room has the best sofas for watching a movie on the large 4K screen. Summary: Wonderful place to stay for our group of four couples. Everyone had their own ensuite. Lots of room for together activities and also for being off a bit of wanted some quiet. Hosts were terrific and very responsive. Unreserved thumps ip!

Summary: “Oh my” is what everybody said as they arrived. Quite a breathtaking place. We had an extended family get-together at Gregg and Lori’s amazing place. The layout, the amenities, the view, the comfort was all first class. The two of them are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The outdoor area is hard to leave whether having morning coffee or a late night cocktail. The giant outdoor grill was such a bonus, definitely made for a good time. Beautifully furnished and each room has its own character. Don’t miss out on this one.

Summary: The online pix did not do this property justice! The house (and owners) were so welcoming and the kitchen was over-the-top stocked with anything and everything we could ever need. Nice "homey" touches throughout the property added to the relaxation we all felt while being there. The grandkids (and adults) enjoyed the pool area. Summary: This house has a wonderful layout for large groups and extended family vacations. My husband and I had our three older children, our parents, and others that came to visit during our week stay. The kitchen island is a great gathering place with a beautiful sitting area next to it. We loved the huge outdoor space with plenty of seating and places to retreat when you needed to relax. We rented a boat for most of the week which was great to explore the area.

Summary: We researched many places for a family vacation with our children, their spouses/significant others and grand children. We booked with Gregg & Lori as their place checked all our boxes. What a great choice. The tiki area and pool were amazing and we spent most of our days (and nights to watch March Madness games) there. We also fished off the dock and had success. We rented a boat one day and pulled to the dock to pick everyone up & dropped them off there as well making logistics very easy. The house has everything you will need for your stay. The bedrooms were awesome. Communications with Gregg & Lori were great. Don’t hesitate on this paradise rental.

Summary: 10/10! If you’re between houses, PICK THIS ONE! This VRBO is very special. For starters the owners are amazing, they take the time to meet you in person and show you around their home. The house is fully furnished. Every oil, spice, sugar, pot, pan, towel, sunscreen, toiletries you could ever fathom the thought of needing.. Gregg and Lori have thought of it and have it for you to use while in their home. I was there for my daughters wedding, we hosted many family pool days & grill outs! They even have an industrial sized ice machine and grill! (Perfect for packing coolers 😉) The outdoor area is even better than the inside of the house if you can believe it! The home has 3 master sized suites. 5 bedrooms total. More than enough bathrooms. This home has the best vibe & extremely cozy. We will be booking again the next time we come down! Thanks again for the wonderful stay!
