Positive: The Paddocks was perfect for our group of 10 (ranging from 3 to 77) to celebrate Mums 70th birthday. There was enough space for us to all spread out and lots to keep everyone occupied. We loved being able to keep cosy with the fire lit in the snug whilst it was raining and snowing outside. We also spent a lot of the time in the large kitchen diner with a kitchen table, breakfast bar, comfortable sofas and a pool table. Was great being able to have company whist cooking in the especially well equipped kitchen with a full range of cookware and utensils. The bedrooms were also all lovely and again, we had plenty of space. We were very lucky with the sunshine but it was a cold weekend so we made use of the hotter which was glorious and the owner very kindly organised for the 4 children to have horse riding lessons which really was the highlight of their stay. We got a Chinese takeaway one night and cooked another and had no need to leave the house at all other than to visit the local shop (only 2 mins walk) so location did not matter to us, but it is quite remote. Like I say, that's what we were looking for so perfect for us. Overall, we thought the house was very good value for money and we had a wonderful break. If you're looking for a house with space in a lovely quiet picturesque location this is the one. The pool table, hot tub and riding lessons were a very welcome added bonus! x
