Summary: We had an absolutely fantastic stay here, having driven past the pub a number of months before and reading reviews we said we were going to go stay there. So booked for our anniversary. The accommodation was beautifully clean, for us, it was like a stay somewhere before Covid happened! We also booked to eat in the restaurant and had a great experience, the drinks and food on offer were enough to suit most tastes. The fish and chips, which i am sometimes wary to have in pubs, was amazing, if i had to find something to complain about it would have been that there needed to be more mushy peas! However i am sure that if i had of asked they would have brought me more. We had the sharing starter and the charcuterie meat is some of the best we've had. The breakfast the following morning was more than enough to satisfy. We will definitely be going again. Our room was in a stable block across the road but we knew this before arriving and it was no problem for us.

Summary: This is a lovely pub in an idylic location. Very friendly athmosphere, a good sized room and comfy bed and delicious dinner and breakfast.

Summary: This was our first night away with our puppy, and we could not have been made more welcome. We had an ideal room, just opposite the hotel - about a 1 minute walk away. This was great for letting our dog out at 4:30 in the morning without disturbing anyone. Room was comfortable, though it was ‘just’ a double bed. Some shelf space in the bathroom would be useful. Apart from those minor points, this was a superb stay. Food and drinks were both good and the service top notch. There was a short wait for breakfast, as The Owl, like many places, is on the hunt for staff. To be honest, we barely noticed the delay until the polite waiter apologised! We will definitely be returning!

Summary: The Inn is in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent everything is freshly made.
