Summary: Very convenient hotel for the city centre with underground carvpark

Summary: I would have given 5 stars except for a weird little interaction right at the end, when I asked the person at reception for a scissor to cut the tag off a shirt I’d just bought. He said we don’t have scissors at reception. No “let me ask my supervisor” or “maybe there’s one in the office right behind me.” Just basically “no” and no effort. Otherwise, clean, close to the train station but quiet, nicely equipped kitchen which I didn’t use bc it was a short stay, all positives.

Summary: Modern, new hotel, good facilities and not far from the centre of Aix. The parking was fully booked but is wasn't too hard to find a space in a nearby side-street. There are not many shops/bakeries etc. near the hotel so you will need to walk into the centre to get a coffee/croissant, about 10 minutes.

Summary: Our experience here overall was good and we felt it provided good value for money. The hotel room included a mini-fridge and a microwave and a good-sized bathroom.The hotel is convenient to a lot of central Aix. However, the parking (even in the underground garage) is limited and cannot be reserved in advance. We ended up parking at the La Rotonde parking garage -- about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Food options close to the hotel seemed limited.

Summary: Place lovely. Reception young woman a little bad tempered and borderline rude. Claimed garage door not working was our issues despite us having followed all instructions. Other staff lovely, friendly and helpful.

Summary: I spent 3 nights at the Originals while attending a meeting at the adjacent Aix Marseille Université (which is a 1-minute walk away). The Originals is fairly new and so the facilities are in top condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast (which is an additional charge) is good and plentiful. The rooms are small by south-France standards but otherwise adequate. The location is very convenient to the university but on the fringe of the downtown area. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the bus and train station and restaurants. Rooms have small kitchenettes and so for longer stays you might want to visit a market, the closest is a 10-15 minute walk. If you are a jogger, the primary option is on the streets/sidewalks, although there is a large park about 1 km away. Be warned that housekeeping is not daily, and may be as long as 3-5 days between housekeeping visits. If you want more frequent housekeeping, there is an additional charge.

Summary: Trash can is small and have to dispose by ourselves since we use the kitchenette to consume take outs. There is a bus route near the hotel if you prefer not to walk every time.

Summary: Good location and nice staff. Spacious room that was very clean. Great that it has a car park on site. It was good but not amazing. I would stay again.
