Summary: Nice spacious clean and modern room! Contact from host really good when needed. A great stay.

Summary: Only after I had booked was I informed that the "hotel" didn't have its bar or restaurant open on Mon through Wednesday. As it happens my colleague and I stayed on a Tuesday and we were eating out with customers, so other than missing out on a quick drink or two at the bar before and after this wasn't too much of an issue - nearest pub we were told was a mile away. By far the biggest issue we had was that there is no way of affecting the temperature in the room, other than a radiator thermostat - and as the central heating was either off or set too low neither my colleague or myself could get warm enough at all through the night. It was cold out - the coldest day so far in 2023, but not THAT cold for the time of year (-1C)and it had been widely publicised that it was going to be cold - so why have the central heating off or very low?
