Positive: This property is beautifully decorated and feels very homely. The owner has clearly put a great deal of effort into making the home welcoming, and it contains everything needed for a peaceful getaway. The photos really don’t do it justice. Parking outside the property was easy with a bit of reversing either in or out and enough for 2 cars if needed. Downstairs, the living room is lovely and cosy, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. The Prosecco and biscuits were a fab surprise and didn’t last long! It was great to have an outdoor space to soak up the sun too. Upstairs, the double bedrooms are spacious with plenty of hanging space, and the beds are large. One of the large beds (top floor) has a hard mattress and the other (middle floor) has a soft mattress so we found a bed to suit everyone. I liked that there were wireless chargers on either side of both beds. The bathroom is well equipped and the water pressure in the shower was great. Finally, everything was spotless and looked brand new. I had a couple of back and forth messages with Nathan and he replied quickly every time. Thank you Nathan for making us feel so welcomed, we will definitely return

Negative: There’s really nothing we didn’t like but we wanted to just mention a couple of things…. Not an issue for us, but for any other travellers with mobility problems the stairs are really steep and take some concentration! That said, it’s a charming feature of an older property so no complaints at all from us. The other thing is the main road. Again, there’s nothing much the owner can do about it (except maybe coming together with the neighbours to cut hedges back / put a visibility mirror opposite) but just to be aware that pulling out onto the main road can be tricky depending on the time of day

Negative: Single bed was stained which we noticed after stripping them on the last day. Stairs were a bit of an issue until on the section with a handrail. Very strong onion smell in property when we arrived which took a good while to clear.

Positive: Beautiful well presented property, clean and comfortable. Every room was unique and styled well, the sheets and towels were good quality and there was plenty of room for a family of four. The kitchen utensils were good quality, nice bowls and cups. I'm going to have to go shopping! Love the art work too. The garden was cute and had fairy lights and deck chairs. The host supplied extra touches such as snacks which was lovely. If we are ever in the area again we would come back!

Negative: Everything was fab. I guess the very very small point, is that the tea towels had stains on it (a bit off putting to see) but it smelt clean and easy to replace.

Summary: Beautiful and well presented property - loved it.

Positive: The cottage was beautifully decorated and had a cosy atmosphere. It was clean, and the location made it easy to explore nearby areas. The property had character, and the kitchen was well-equipped.

Negative: The parking situation was difficult, and the listing overstates the available space. The road outside is busy, and turning right out of the property feels unsafe. The mattresses were extremely firm and uncomfortable—I struggled to sleep, and it caused back pain. The welcome pack was generic; as a pregnant guest, prosecco wasn’t useful, and I would have appreciated decaf options or milk in the fridge, especially when arriving late with young children. One of the bedrooms was too small to move around comfortably. The stairs were steep and squeaky, making it hard to move around quietly at night. I requested a high chair, but none was provided. The cleaning tasks expected from guests (e.g., stripping beds, emptying bins) were unexpected—I would expect these to be handled by the cleaning team, not paying guests.

Negative: As dogs are not allowed upstairs, it would of been handy to have a door or gate on the living room, our little dog is very nosey and kept trying to get up there.
