Summary: We can’t say enough good things about our two night stay. Staff were so incredibly welcoming, kind and thoughtful. We had dinner the first night and wished we could have done the second too but had theatre tickets. Food was 5* both in flavour and presentation. We had the pleasure of meeting Ann the owner over dinner and the chef that evening , Charlie. Post dinner we sat by the fire where front of house immediately added more firewood. We also had the pleasure of meeting Angus, Ann’s son who was a funny and helpful young man. I am thrilled that this is where we started our trip.

Summary: The issue I had was that hotels.com charged me a 100 pounds more than the hotel said my bill was but I had already paid on line. I won’t be using hotels.com again.

Summary: Carefullly decorated rooms. The Manse is in a beautiful location with access to walking hikes throughout, including the Blair Castle. Breakfast was very good and in a beautiful glass room. Our room was one of several in a row in the “enclosed garden”, named after tree species. Although very pretty, I’m not a fan of the type of linear structure, and felt the walls were a bit thin as we could hear our neighbors easily (snoring, talking) We were exhausted at the end of the day and it didn’t interfere with our sleep.
