Positive: It was well placed for Reading. The hotel was in a quiet location. There was ample parking.

Negative: The reception was not staffed. It took an extended period for anyone to turn up. When they did they were totally business focussed. Told me just as much as I needed to know. The whole room area was engulfed in the smell of cannabis. The shower room was very tired with mould in evidence. The room was small, difficult to watch tv as the tiny tv was on a wall perpendicular to the bed. Difficult to sit in bed and watch. The duvet was extraordinarily thin. Carpet was very commercial and thin/ unwelcoming. In all the stay was adequate- just.

Summary: Very basic accommodation but handy for Reading/ Pangbourne.

Positive: Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was delicious both days. Room is basic but sufficient for a business stay, hot shower in the morning.

Summary: Great location, enjoyable breakfast, basic facilities but good value for money.
