Summary: The Old Borough hotel rooms are above a bar, but despite being a Thursday evening, the rooms were quite quiet. They are away from the drinking customers. They were clean, the staff were courteous and helpful. You go to the bar to check in, and that seemed strange at first, but worked just fine. The clerk offered to book us a taxi for the next morning and the taxi arrived early, which was great. The only difficulty was the lack of parking for checking in, as we first checked in before dropping our rental car off. The parking lot was totally jam packed with bar/restaurant guests. There was no place reserved for hotel guests to park and check in. We got it worked out, but it was very stressful, and included me having to make maybe a 9-point turn to re-orient the car. It also included two random passers-by volunteering to help coordinate the traffic. I'm not kidding! Those two were so nice and helpful!! We left too early to sample breakfast.

Summary: difficult to find anyone related to the hotel. The staff was tied up with the resturant and pub.

Summary: Chose this location for proximity to the airport for an early departure. If you’re brining luggage in to organize, it’s extremely inconvenient. No parking -(spaces are all taken by employees). Sketchy dark pay lot close by. Check in is carrying luggage thru a crowded bar, and trying to get the attention of a bartender. Then carry the bags up flights of stairs , again thru a crowded bar. If you’re looking for convenience, check elsewhere.

Summary: Very happy with the bar and restaurant. Uncomfortable sleep though. The bed was so worn it was visibly concave when I walked in. It was a very uncomfortable night sleep.

Summary: Stayed before. I had a lovely room that time It was a bit sticky the day I arrived The air con was difficult to regulate so either too cold or warm The tv only had around 5 channels

Summary: This is 100% not a 4 star hotel. The reception is a closet in the bar, the room is tiny, it's a very old building and way too pricey for what you get.

Summary: Good location, typical bar/restaurant area. Room was tastefully decorated but had a few scuffs user marks. Would definitely stay again

Summary: “Near the airport” isn’t usually an indication of a good area, but Swords was recommended to me as a place to stay before flying out, by a Dubliner I met while touring the rest of the country. Food, beverage and lodging prices were actually lower in Swords than any of the places I visited in rural western Ireland, though the people were more urban in their conduct. My room had a cathedral ceiling and a fireplace, plus both a bathtub and a shower, and I could park right in front, off-street.
