Positive: Hosts friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting the Auckland Project. Lovely big rooms with lots of space. Immaculate. Lovely bedrooms- well decorated and comfortable. Lots of heaters to keep it nice and warm. Professionally decorated and clean. Good kitchen, well equipped. Lounge/ dining room is a lovely space although you get a bit of noise from the street. Great value. Thankyou

Negative: There is only one showeroom/ bathroom which for a four bedroom apartment is a bit limiting but there is an additional WC. Slight smell in the room with two beds. The only things that caused minor frustration was 1. a TV in one bedroom hadn't been tuned 2. there was a DVD player in the lounge but we couldn't use it as the batteries in the remote didn't work so we had to go and buy some batteries. Very minor inconveniences during a very enjoyable stay.

Summary: Great location, lots of space, well decorated and enjoyable.

Positive: Excellent, central location. Lovely big reception space, ideal for gathering together in the evenings.

Negative: Only one bathroom for 4 bedrooms, both the bathroom and separate toilet were located on the ground floor so not ideal for those in the bedroom on the second floor! The shower was not reliably warm- sometimes didn't have any hot water, sometimes went from scorching hot to freezing cold very quickly and without turning temperature gauge.

Positive: Absolutely lovely hosts who had thought of everything. Well equipped house and lovely welcome touches, e.g. milk in fridge and some treats on arrival. Super clean and tidy. Plenty of space. Location ideal for visiting sights of Bishop Auckland including a very short walk to the museums, palace and Kynren shuttle bus.

Negative: A bit of noise from local bars on Friday and Saturday nights. But the bedrooms do not face the road.

Summary: Well equipped, well positioned home hosted by thoughtful owners
