Positive: Staff were great, lovely white sheets and towels ,beds very comfortable so had a great sleep. Room warm. Free buffet on Friday evening very nice..Christmas trees were going up and were beautiful. Very adequate, hot breakfast.

Negative: Bar area dirty, generally not clean. Just needs a really good overhaul on the cleaning side. Glasses not clean, the til well I've no idea how the barman entered the prices it was so dirty. Shower didn't work but as we were only there one night we all had a nice bath...plenty of hot water. The whole place needs a deep clean then I would say it's great.

Positive: Lovely room. Very nice bathroom. Staff so friendly and helpful. Bar area ideal. Also lots of comfy seating to sit and read away from noise. Generous helpings at breakfast and dinner. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Lots of character. Excellent wifi.

Negative: Although the breakfast tables were clean, the window sills and blinds were not. Dead flies and cobwebs!!! Poor phone signal. Needs TLC. Menu basic.

Summary: Really good for a couple of nights while exploring the area
