Negative: My room was on the ground floor and every time the people who were staying above us walked the floor was squeaking with every single step. Really need to do something with the flooring.

Positive: Location was great! Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. Free parking. The room was really big and we enjoyed having a recliner in the room. We were able to access our own TV stations on the smart TV. Lots of room to unpack, and counter space in the room. The fridge and microwave were a great addition.

Negative: Our room was actually in a partial basement. There were high windows but they overlooked a parking lot, so they were covered with curtains. I prefer natural light. Also, the bathroom was very small and dated, and the decor in the hotel needs a refresh.

Positive: Location is good as it’s within walking distance to restaurants & beach.

Negative: Well I took others’ advice and requested upon booking to NOT be on bottom floor as it’s actually the basement 🙁. Apparently no one reads the “requests” bc sure enough we were assigned a basement room! The receptionist said no other rooms were available and I “should have called them” bc Booking.com assigns bottom floor first! How the heck is a patron supposed to know this? I assumed requesting not to be on the bottom floor when I booked would be enough. That being said, she was nice and the room was clean. Fair enough for our 1 night stay but if it were a longer stay I wouldn’t have continued. I need natural light and if the curtains were not drawn on the high windows (the view is the same if you were a car tire), then all the patrons look right down into your room when getting in and out of their cars. We had to keep the curtains shut for privacy. Claustrophobic for me personally. Ceiling canister lights provide the lighting. For me personally, NOT what a wanted to spend $400 on for the night. I do have a suggestion for the hotel….maybe at least use a spring rod and curtain across the bathroom entry where the vanity is. The bed sits directly across from this area and when one person is trying to sleep and the other is in the bathroom the lights coming from that area are way too bright. I’m not a complainer in general and hate to say anything negative but I just want to warn others that if you are booking online at this hotel, don’t. Call them personally to insure you don’t end up in an underground room. Other than that I think you will like the location and cleanliness.
