The New Yorker (accommodation for 6) is styled on the theme of an industrial New York apartment, it is a quirky and unique construction with a high degree of appointments. It boasts 3 large bedrooms (2 with queen beds and one with 2 single beds), all with ceiling fans, heating and occasional furniture, laundry with washer and dryer, a large modern bathroom with bath, glass roofed shower, double basins and toilet. There is also a separate toilet and basin. The large family/entertainment area with TV, dining tables, lounge area and well appointed kitchen with all modern facilities (including coffee machine), slow combustion log fire, air conditioning and a unique mezzanine library that towers over the main living area. There has been an attempt to capture the feeling of apartment living, with a high degree of luxury and interesting artwork to add to the experience .. it is not just a holiday but more an experience.
THE NEW YORKER can be rented along with WHISKERS COTTAGE, therefore accommodating 8 guests. The two are joined by a glass entrance area to The New Yorker.
If one is rented the other is unavailable, therefore allowing privacy

Summary: We had a lovely few days at the New Yorker. The house is incredible; Margie you have thought of everything ! The kitchen equipped with all mod cons, the bed was extremely comfortable, the large bathroom has a double vanity, and the whole place was lovely and warm. Yahl is a lovely area, and so quiet. There are only two of us, but the house, with its great covered deck and backyard, is perfect for a family. Can't wait to come back.

Summary: I stumbled on this little gem as we were looking for somewhere close to Mt Gambier while on a driving holiday. What a beautiful place. We all felt at home immediately and the attention to detail of the New York themed apartment was really something else. Everything we needed was there, including lux body wash, comfortable beds and pillows, DVDs, information on our surroundings in a lovely quiet street setting with a short drive to town. Margie our host was so lovely showing us around the property and taking the time to make sure our stay was comfortable. The only problem I had was that we only booked for 2 nights. Hopefully we will be back again soon.

Summary: We had a really lovely time at the New Yorker in Yahl. The house was very well set up and we took advantage of the wood burner fire to keep us warm through the cold Easter nights. Definitely recommend. Marg was warm and frendly and very accomodating.

Summary: From the initial booking thru to check out Margie was wonderful. We enjoyed xmas in Mt Gambier with family and this was the idea base for us to all stay. The property is clean and tidy and very well appointed with additional extras that make the staying away from home not a drama.
