Summary: Food was A 1. The walk up two flts of stairs was far from good otherwise it was a very good average. We didn’t like the dog allowance in every place except the restaurant.

Summary: Very pleased I picked The New Inn to stay. It’s a proper country pub with its own brewery in a proper country setting. As you can imagine the beer was excellent, and the food first class. The room was lovely, clean, and airy with a comfortable bed. Will definitely stay again as we still have much to see in the surrounding areas, and I couldn’t ask for s better base to do this.

Summary: Needs new mattress, shower was either cold or scorching, and the walls were thin, but lovely pub, great food, great value. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beer was great too, great location too

Summary: Despite my rating i would like to say I would stay here again and would recommend. The location is excellent, parking plentiful and staff are brilliant. The breakfast is absolutely faultless and was really superb. These make up for most of the short falls. Rooms (especially bathrooms) could do with some upgrading as they are very dated and tired. If you shower at the time as other people the water is scalding or freezing which isn't too pleasant. Worst for us was the fact the heating was still on despite the fact it was 20+ degrees. Even with all the windows open (which let in noise obviously) it was stifling. Also the mattresses were really soft will springs very easily felt. That said, our room was clean and spacious enough, house keeping extremely efficient and we did enjoy our stay.

Summary: Stayed one night on the cottage. Wonderful period property and very comfortable. Best sofa bed I have ever slept on. The pub was great, busy and and a great atmosphere with the food being excellent. One of the most perfectly cooked steaks we have experienced with all other items perfect too. Great local ales from their own brewery too.
